  • You have proper authorization to enter and share the health information of the person being cared for, OR
  • You are the individual whose health information is being entered, OR
  • You have legal authority (such as power of attorney, guardianship, or healthcare proxy) to manage this person's health information, OR
  • You have explicit consent from the person whose information you are entering

You understand that sharing health information without proper authorization may violate privacy laws. SYNKINUP is not responsible for unauthorized use of health information by users.

This app is designed solely for personal and family caregiving coordination. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition. Medication tracking and reminders are provided as user-input tools only. This app is not a medical device or a substitute for professional medical advice.

HIPAA and Data Handling

Synkinup, LLC does not store or process protected health information (PHI) as defined under HIPAA and is not acting as a covered entity or business associate. Any sensitive data is user-controlled and shared at the user's discretion within your designated family circle.

We use your information to provide family coordination services, send notifications, enable communication within your circle, provide support, and improve our app.

SYNKINUP does not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

We do NOT sell your information. We only share with:

  • Trusted service providers: (cloud storage, email delivery) under strict confidentiality

  • Safety purposes: To prevent harm to users or public safety

Family Circle Management

  • You control who receives invitations to your family circle
  • Circle administrators can remove members anytime
  • You can leave a circle anytime (your contributions remain unless deleted)
  • Removed members lose future access but may retain previously downloaded information

Additional Terms

Children

Not intended for users under 13. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Data Retention

We retain information while your account is active or as needed for services. Deleted accounts are purged within 30 days (except legal compliance requirements).

Location

SYNKINUP is US-based. Using our service constitutes consent to US data processing.

Updates

We may update this policy and will notify you of significant changes. Continued use means acceptance of updates.
